Computer
Technology
OLA is committed to
keeping our students up-to-date with computer technology. Students
grade K-8 are taught general computer skills and concepts, based on
multiple state and archdiocese competencies per grade level. This
includes keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations,
data bases and effective research through Internet searches.
Content controls are in full effect on all computers, and there is an
established use protocol and standards of conduct agreement to which
each student and parent/guardian must adhere. Each year we also
teach age-appropriate Internet safety to our kindergarten through eight
grade
students.
We also offer these
Internet safety classes to our
parents and guardians to assist in proper use of this emerging
technology. See the website http://www.netsmartzkids.org/
for information about Internet safety now!
